How many hours do you need to study? If you are a working professional you will be often short of time. Try utilizing your break time and free time in office reading newpapers or using internet online. 1 to 4 hours study on weekdays and 6 to 8 hours a day on weekends will suffice. If you are a aspirant who is not working and want to devote all your time  on UPSC IAS studies, then carefully design and formulate your schedule and start preparing. 6 to 10 hours a day is what you should aim for.
